What’s In A Name?

Sole practitioner accountants for many years were in the habit of calling their practice by the surname of the principal accountant followed by the words “& Company.”

In the case of Books & Co. there is and never was a Mr Books! Instead the concept arose from the very first offerings of the firm being bookkeeping and company accounting. Books & Co for short.

Then there’s our strapline, “Accounting for Everyone”.

Accountants like providers of any other service have certain ways of bringing a product to the market. Some will focus on large clients, some on small. Some will charge very high fees and provide a completely bespoke service, while others charge very low fee and provide you with unqualified people who have learned about business finance through experience.

Books & Co. has taken the very latest in accounting technology (supported through our in house IT division) and fused this with the very highest standards of ethics and advice which are rigorously enforced through our membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

We believe that these levels of service should be made available to everyone at a fair price based entirely on us selling you our time and expertise. We proudly say that we will account for everyone on this basis.
